About Us
Black Girl Gamers was founded in 2015 to disrupt an industry where inclusion has consistency been an afterthought – Black people make up less than 5% of the industry workforce globally. Starting as a Facebook group, Black Girl Gamers evolved from a small community to an industry changing force with a global community of over 10,000+ members, all united by a love for gaming.
Now a community-borne company, Black Girl Gamers continues to heighten Black Women’s voices in gaming through media, consultation, talent and education. Through partnerships with endemic and non-endemic brands, we’re increasing visibility, access, and equity for Black women in gaming.

Community
If you blanket diversity, Black Girl Gamers is seen as just that, but when you see us, you see intersections of the many marginalized communities that we represent. Our community is our root and our reason for existing. We’re global, with members spanning multiple countries, ethnicities, religions, professions, abilities, sexualities and ages all united by a common love for gaming. Our members join for many reasons; cultural connection, personal development or to find a protected space away from the varying discriminations and toxicity that can be found in parts of gaming culture. Intersectionality is our strength and we always take pride in honoring the differences exist in our spaces. You will find casual gamers, developers and content creators in Black Girl Gamers but most of all you’ll find connection and camaraderie.

“Your reports are the best we’ve seen in the industry, and we’ve seen quite a few.” – Studio Drydock
“Plus, the playtest report that BGG sent after was a premium touch, something we would normally have to compile for ourselves from the videos. Overall, the playtest–from players sourced to the format to the substance–is a huge cut above what we typically receive from playtest vendors we’ve used.” – Wicked Saints
